Organic agri top bills Koronadal City’s Negosyo Fest

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato,  Sept. 24 (PIA)  --   Organic  agriculture   will highlight  the  weeklong 14th Charter Anniversary and 4th Negosyo Festival of the  Burghal of Koronadal  abutting week.  

Emelita Miguel,  city  agriculturist, said  the local  government assemblage   will  host  SOCCSKSARGEN's  fist  regional  assembly and trade  fair on  organic   agriculture.

The event, which will be  captivated at the  Gaisano  Grand Mall  from October 1  to 8,  is being  co-sponsored  by the SOCCSKSARGEN Organic  Farmers and Producers  Association, Inc. (SOFPA)  led  by its president, Alfredo  Hebrona  Jr.

"Promoting  organic  agronomics is a above affairs of the burghal government," Miguel  said, "in  fact, Mayor Peter Miguel wants to position  Koronadal as  an  amoebic  agriculture city."  

According to the  Regional Agronomics and Fishery  Information Division of the  Department of Agriculture  (DA) 12,  Secretary Proceso Alcala  has  already  confirmed  his attendance during the  opening  day on October 1.

At the congress, National  Amoebic Agriculture  Lath (NOAB) alternate  armchair Usec. Bernadette Romulo -Puyat  will  present the  opportunities and  challenges of organic  agronomics in the ASEAN Integration.

Leo Caneda,  national  program  coordinator of the National Program  Office of the  National  Organic  Agriculture  Plan (NOAP)  will  also  altercate the  roles of bounded government  units in the accomplishing of Republic  Act 10068 (Organic Agronomics Act of 2011)  and the  NOAP.

Moreover,  DA 12 Regional Director  Amalia Jayag-Datukan  will also  busy on the Department of Agriculture's  support  programs  for the  development of  organic  agriculture.

Other  speakers  accommodate Kulafu  Seballos, organic  ambassador of the Negros Island Acceptance Casework (NICERT)  on the accent of acceptance of amoebic products,  and Celia  Medina, associate  assistant at the  University of the Philippines in Los Banos  on the best practices in biological annoyance control.

Besides the  discussions  on  topics  pertaining to  organic  farming, participants  are additionally accepted to advised on the   business opportunities of  amoebic production, organic  agronomics as antecedence industry in SOCCSKSARGEN Region,  the amoebic agronomics affairs  of Koronadal  City, amid others.
